   Hilarious. I love it. Consider: we did the same thing with our two-digit date convention at the root level of all our software. Aliens reverse engineering our stuff would have found this “hidden knowledge” that the world would end in the year 2000… otherwise, wouldn’t those otherworldly “humans” have planned for their devices to continue functioning beyond that date?!

   It seems the Mayans did a better job than our own digital calendar architects– their calendar “firmware” is expiring long after their civilization crumbled.

   Although some do argue that our own civilization ended with the demise of “Friends”.
   😉
